Be Motivated

There are things you want to get done, but you don't feel like doing them.
You don't want to do anything, but just sit and watch tv or surf the internet.
You have things that need to get done,  but you procrastinate. Examples are:
Bills need paying.
House needs cleaning.
Yard needs mowing.
Laundry needs to get done.

These are simple, mundane goals. But, getting them done will open the door for more challenging goals.
This can be hard. There is no easy way to accomplish this. You have to actually get up and do something. Take action.
You need to initially force yourself to do one thing. Take a shower. Get yourself cleaned up. Eat a light meal.  Afterwards go for a walk outside. Just doing simple things like this will give you some impetus to do the next thing you need to do.
Listen to some uplifting music. Do some light exercises if necessary.

You got this, you can do it. Have faith in yourself.
Once you achieve one of your goals, it gets easier to do the next one, just from the sense of accomplishment.
You can do anything you want to do; you just have to take action and move. Make a daily routine of the things that get you going. The more you do them, the easier it gets until it becomes habit.

Now go out, and get some stuff done!

Have a great and productive day!

Introduction

This is an article aimed at helping people improve the quality of their lives. Improving and developing oneself is not an easy thing to do. It requires that you get out of your comfort zone. Starting out requires motivation, dedication, perseverance and self discipline. These may not be easy things to acquire for some and require practice and almost constant effort. They do get easier with time and continued practice. It also requires patience in yourself; because learning and using these principles also take time and effort.

Finding the continued motivation to continue these practices are important. This may seem difficult as you move along; but the rewards to you personally are great. You will definitely feel better about yourself and the world around you. One of the things you might do is make a list of what you want out of life; and of things you may want to achieve. Your inspiration for making such a list could come from this series of articles, other articles like it, or books on this subject.

Believe in yourself. Have confidence in your abilities. Decide that what you know and what you are talented at are important to you and others. Don’t let other people’s negativity affect you. Just move through it and remember that what you think of yourself is more important. Don’t be afraid to try something new. You may find a new ability or talent you didn’t know you had. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. You will just do better the next time you do it. It is better to attempt something than not to try at all. You will learn something about yourself and in the process build more confidence.

Be a winner. Go into every activity with a can do attitude. Believe that you are good at it and that you are going to get better all the time. Be a good sport. If someone else does a good job at the activity, be glad for them and congratulate them, if possible. You will definitely feel better about yourself and boost your own self confidence. You will also gain the respect of others as well.

Help others achieve by teaching them what you know. Not only will they learn something of value, but you will get better at it as well. This will increase your self confidence and sense of self worth.
The practices presented in this article are intended as a basic start in your quest for improving your life. More articles will be presented in the future with more in depth details for personal development and handling life’s challenges. If you find value in what I have presented here then please come back for future presentations.

All of the practices in this article either are being used or have been used by myself. I have gained benefit from all of them and have seen others who use them benefit as well. I hope that what I have shared here with you today has been of some help to you in your quest for self improvement and personal development.

Have a great and wonderful day!
